Six new members joined, or rejoined, us at Rick's Diner during our May 10, 2017, gathering to learn about future plans for the Port St. Lucie Historical Society and meet recently elected chair Dennis Grabhorn, (right). It was great to see one of our earliest members, Lee Hicks (second from left), and meet her daughter Debbie Kliff (left), shown with Treasurer Christine Williams and young Maya Caraballo. Director Pat Christensen updated the group on the museum planned for the Westmoreland property.
A great turn-out, fabulous hosts, new members and good food made the first Members Meeting and Dinner of 2017 a great success. The get-together was at the home of John and Karol Carvelli in St. Lucie West with hamburgers fresh off the grill. The next members meeting will be in May at a date and place to be announced. PSL Historical Society Chair Jolien Caraballo gave a brief talk on the upcoming direction of the group and the future need for members to serve on committees. (See more photos on our Facebook page)
